In 1994, At the MTV Video Music Awards at Radio City Music Hall in New York City, Aerosmith won Video of the Year for “Cryin’”.

In 1990, Jon Bon Jovi reached the top of the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart with his debut solo single “Blaze of Glory”, from the movie Young Guns II. On the same day he peaked at number three on the Billboard 200 Album Chart with his debut solo album “Blaze of Glory”; which went on to sell two million copies in the U.S.

In 1979, Dire Straits kicked off their second North American tour at The Orpheum in Boston.
