In 1989, Guns N’ Roses guitarist Izzy Stradlin was arrested for creating a disturbance on an airline flight. He urinated on the floor, smoked in a non-smoking section & verbally abused a stewardess.

In 1973, Rolling Stone reported that The Doors have split up, two years after the death of Jim Morrison.

In 1969, The three day Texas International Pop Festival kicked off in Lewisville, TX, just outside of Dallas. Headliners on the festival included Led Zeppelin, The Chicago Transit Authority, Janis Joplin, Santana, B.B. King, Grand Funk Railroad & Johnny Winter.
