In 1956, Leo Fender received a patent for the Stratocaster guitar.

In 1976, “Dream On” by Aerosmith peaked at number six on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart, two and a half years after its initial release when it only peaked at number 59.

In 1973, Led Zeppelin received their fifth Gold album for Houses of the Holy which went on to sell eleven million copies in the U.S.

In 1970, Paul McCartney issued a press statement that The Beatles have disbanded. McCartney stated “I have no future plans to record or appear with The Beatles again, or to write any music with John.”
