In 1998, U2 made a guest appearance on the 200th episode of The Simpsons.

In 1990, Nirvana appeared at the Pyramid Club in New York City. The bands label Sub Pop filmed the show and the performance of ‘In Bloom’ was later used as a promo clip.

In 1986, Van Halen reached number one on the Billboard 200 Album Chart for the first time with 5150 which was their first album with Sammy Hagar singing for them. The album spent three weeks on top of the chart.
