1966: The Beatles’ “Day Tripper” peaked at number five on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart.

1972: Don McLean’s album ‘American Pie’ started a seven week run at No.1 in the US album chart.

1977: “Wings Over America”, Wings’ triple live album, reached number one on the Billboard 200 Album Chart where it stayed for one week.


1983: The Clash earned their first and only top ten single in the U.S. with “Rock the Casbah” which peaked at number eight on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart.
