Classic 1979 Coke Commercial with Mean Joe Greene

It’s been nearly 40 years since a 9-year-old fan shared his Coca-Cola with Pittsburgh Steelers star “Mean” Joe Greene in one of the most famous commercials in Super Bowl history.
The two are reunited in a new video for the upcoming Super Bowl’s Greatest Commercials 2016 special.
The spot debuted in October 1979 and aired again during Super Bowl XIV in 1980. In the special Joe recalls the 18 bottles of Coke he had to drink to get it right.
